Accolades for the AIDS Quilt Site
The NAMES Project website has
received the Seal Of Approval from Six Senses, a
healthcare and medical website review program. One reviewer called the
site "Visually spectacular, information rich and searchable ... a
worthy online representation of the Quilt project."
Now Showing on a PDA Near You
vivid is pleased as PIE to present the complete text
of Undo, a
made-for-Newton novel by gadget-lust poster child and former
technology advisor to the stars Joe
Hutsko. Undo is a contemporary novel written against
a backdrop of advanced handheld computers, PDAs, and a number of
not-quite-ready-for-prime-time technologies, including practical
speech synthesis and voice recognition. It's also available as a
Newton Book and Etext (further proof that technology is stranger than
fiction).
Leading a Virtual Life
Much as we love the online life, we do occasionally step
outside to socialize with our fellow human beings. Of course, we carry
the QuickTake with us at all times, so we can record the experience
for posterity... our latest wanderings have taken us to the
Communications Decency Act protest in South Park and the
excellent Digital Queers par-tay. Stay tuned for
more of our adventures (or invite us to your next soiree,
eh? We're lots of fun at parties).
Wondering about that blue ribbon over there? It'll take you to the
Electronic Frontier Foundation, where you can find
out more about the Blue
Ribbon Campaign to protect your right to free speech
online.
